WIMED's Mission To improve visual effectiveness of traffic signs for road users and to reduce casualty severity upon impact with road infrastructure. WIMED is a modern and fast-growing company manufacturing and installing a full range of traffic signs, gantries and other traffic equipment. WIMED's Brief History

The company was founded on 28th March 1988 as a one man operation creating road signs. Over the years, WIMED has grown into a company with over two hundred highly qualified employees, a production area of 5000 sq metres, and administration and design offices covering 500 sq metres. Our aspirations, to increase the quality of our products and improve our working conditions as well as the rush to modernise our company, were the vital factors leading to the following permanent improvements:

• a universal clamp system for the mounting of road signs
• single and double return sign plate edges
• the plank system of sign construction
• the retro-reflective microprismatic temporary roll-up signs designed for easy set-up and storage
• the production of components for town or city centres
• new traffic sign post system: PROLIFE – profile for life

• European CE certificate for PROLIFE system, road signs and selected structures
• The CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION in the field of vertical signs, awarded to WIMED by the Roads and Bridges Research Institute in Warsaw

• Leader of Entrepreneurship in Poland in 1999.
• The company has also been recognized as a quality supplier of traffic control devices throughout Poland and it received the award TERAZ POLSKA in 1995 as one of the fifteen best Polish companies in that year.
